A Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oriire Local Government of Oyo State, Hon. Lukman Ayuba, has expressed optimism that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s UK visit will bring development to Nigeria.

Speaking with newsmen in Oriire on Thursday, Hon. Ayuba said the visit will strengthen Nigeria-UK ties and boost the nation’s economy, citing the warm welcome by King Charles III as a sign of improved relations.

“The visit is a reignition of the oldest ties between the two countries, and it will help put Nigeria’s economy on the global landscape,” Ayuba said.

He highlighted the nation’s economic progress, including a drop in inflation from 35% to 15%, and reforms like NELFUND, approval of power projects, and reconstruction of federal roads.

“I have the belief that the UK-Nigeria relationship will positively affect the nation’s economy. Our tourism sites will attract global investment. Ado Awaye Lake, Ikere Gorge Dams, Olumo Rock, and others in the country will attract investors and hopefully provide job opportunities,” Ayuba said.

Ayuba urged party leaders to work together for peace and unity, ensuring APC’s victory in 2027, lauding leaders of the party in Oriire, specifically Hon.
Rt. Hon Gunju Ojo, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Akala, distinguished Senator Omotayo Buhari, others for supporting his emergence as chairman, calling on recent aspirants and party faithful to join him in promoting love, peace, and unity.

“This will enable the fuller development of democratic dividends and landslide victory for the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole in the 2027 General Elections,” he said.
