The Law Graduates’ Association of Nigeria (LAWGAN) has called on the University of Maiduguri to urgently process the Nigerian Law School admission of some of its law graduates.

In a statement, LAWGAN President, Kayode Bello, and Public Relations Officer, Ojo Clement, said the association was concerned over the reported delay.

LAWGAN said it had written to the university authorities on August 12, 2026, appealing for the immediate processing of the affected graduates’ admission, but was yet to receive a satisfactory response.

The association urged the university and other relevant authorities to ensure that all eligible graduates were given the opportunity to proceed to the Nigerian Law School as part of the ongoing admission process.

“LAWGAN remains committed to constructive and amicable engagement with the University. However, we will not hesitate to pursue all lawful means necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the affected law graduates,” the statement said.

It added that the matter should be treated with urgency, considering the professional future of the graduates.
