A public administration professional and 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly aspirant for Egbeda Constituency, Hon. Temitope Olawoyin, has urged Muslims, politicians and Nigerians to imbibe love, service and transparency.
In a statement on Tuesday to mark Eid-Maulud, Olawoyin said the birth of Prophet Muhammad brought peace and helped in the expansion of the human race, adding that the grace must not be taken for granted.
The APC chieftain in Egbeda Local Government said the celebration was not necessarily about slaughtering animals or carnivals, but a period for reflection on the Prophet’s teachings over the last 1,400 years.

“Love, service and transparency should be the watchword of every man’s dealings, as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” she said.
Olawoyin, who noted that the celebration is backed by the Holy Qur’an, called on religious leaders and stakeholders to advocate peaceful coexistence for a more prosperous nation.
She urged Muslims to live by the doctrines of peace and love, while politicians and public office holders should be dedicated and transparent in order to weaken corruption.
She also charged politicians to shun campaigning on the basis of religion and ethnicity ahead of the 2027 general elections, and called on government to intensify campaigns against religious bigotry for sustained peace and progress
