The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Egbeda Local government area of Oyo State, Comrade Olawale Olaleye has described the new consensus state executive as a readiness of the party to take over governance in Oyo State in 2027.
He stated this while addressing the newsmen at the state congress held at Liberty Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan on Tuesday.
The politician cum professional accountant noted that the adoption of the consensus arrangement enabled the peace in the process.
Olaleye added that the process, not only enabled seamless peace, but brought inclusivity and fairness which made everyone to have a sense of belonging.
He commended the commitment and efforts of the national and local leaders in ensuring that the 2026 Congresses set the party ahead of her competitors, saying the flawless process has continued to renew the hope and confidence of Nigerians in the party under the national leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the only way that will restore the wasted years of the country from failure.
He noted that for the first time in the history of the country’s political party’s build-up for another general election, Congresses were held with sketchy flaws, describing it too unprecedented.
Meanwhile, the grassroots politician while lauding the process that produced the new state executives, called every member of the party to rally support with the leaders in the party at wards, local government and state for a continued unity, progress, and victory generally at the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Recall, the 2026 Oyo State Congress produced former deputy governor an Igboho born politician, Moses Alake Adeyemo who was appointed by the late Abiola Ajimobi between 2011 and 2019 as the state chairman, Alhaji Olawale Sadare returning as state publicity secretary, and 32 others.
