The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has raised concern about worsening state of insecurity, inflation in the country.
At press conference presided by its National President, Comrade Festus Osifo on Thursday, the union urged the federal government to find an urgent lasting solutions to the challenges for due socio-economic development.

The Union noted that the government at all levels must cooperate and make friendly policies and as well tackle the state of insecurity head on in line with the provision of the Constitution of the country.
” Insecurity and inflation in the country now affect every Nigerian, and it is high time government mechanized urgent solution for a better living”, Osifo said.

He added that the highlighted issues which include worsening insecurity across various regions, persistent rise in fuel costs, are broader economic challenges facing workers and citizens alike, calling for a quick address by the present administration in Nigeria.
While acknowledging the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in fighting insecurity, the TUC Boss called other government at the sub-nationals and local to work together for a lasting solution to the issues.
Meanwhile, he called for urgent government intervention, advocated for policies that will prioritize welfare, safety, and economic stability of the Nigerian people.
