Pray for rains of dividends of democracy in Ramadan, Lenten period- RHOPEA Coord., Akintola

The Egbeda Local Government Co-ordinator of Renewed Hope People’s Empowerment Association, Hon. Cyril Akintola has called on Muslim Ummah, christian faithful to imbibe spirit of prayer at the kick-off of the 2026 Ramadan and Lenten Period.

In a statement personally signed and made available to the newsmen on Wednesday, Akintola noted that the Holy Month remains perfect time of reflection, refreshing and renewal of every religious being across the world.

He added that the Ramadan and Lenten periods are significantly spiritual as both were greatly observed by Prophet Isa, Muhammad and Jesus Christ, a symbol of self-sacrificing and total surrenderness with due power and strength to live above all life challenges in their respective times.

The respected entrepreneur and grassroots politician added that the Holy month must be used by all and sundry to pray for total restoration of dignity, economic pride and greatness in Egbeda, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

” Nigeria is in dire need of God’s intervention all round; economy, politics, education, health, name it. Ramadan and Lenten should be judiciously used to pray for dignity, pride all round for Egbeda, Oyo State and Nigeria as whole”, he said.

Assuring members of the Renewed Hope People’s Empowerment Association of due dividends of democracy under the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hon. Akintola urged them to commence rigorous mobilization and enlightenment of other Nigerians on the programmes, policies and plans of the present administration, and particularly the association’s mandate, saying this will enable quicker approval of the plans and dividends to both the members and entire country.

While praying for strength and resilience for both Muslim Ummah and Christian faithful in the Holy Month, the grassroots leader called for due prayer, focus and commitment to the co-operation with the Bola Tinubu led Renewed Hope Agenda which will soon return the country to total prosperity.
