2026 Lenten: Oyo NACJ Chairman Calls On Christians To Strengthen Their Faith In God

The Chairman, Nigeria Association of Christian Journalists, NACJ, Oyo State, Lekan Shobo Shobowale has enjoined Christians to deepen their faith in God as they commence the 2026 lenten period; 40 days fast in preparation for the Easter celebration.
In a message by the association’s Spokesperson, Adeola Badru, Shobowale says Lenten period is a solemn period that calls for sober reflection, repentance, and more commitment to spiritual activities.
He observed that the period also highlights the importance of self-discipline, sacrifice, intense prayers, humility, and obedience to the will of God.
He noted with joy that that the Lentenย commence in similitude with the Ramadan Fast, saying it is a divine arrangement by God, and that the people should take advantage of the season to fervently pray for the good of the State and the entire nation.
He also urged the people to stage prayers for leaders at all levels of government, for good governance that will make meaningful impacts on the citizens.
The number one Christian journalist in Oyo state congratulates Christians on the commencement of the Lenten, wishing them a successful and rewarding spiritual exercise.
Meanwhile, Shobowale reminded every Christian faithful of the need to allow the significance of the season reflect in all aspects of their lives during and after the Holy month.
