Oyo NSCDC Agro-rangers Neutralize Suspected Bandit, Arrest Two In Iseyin

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command, has announced the neutralisation of a suspected bandit/kidnapper and the arrest of two others in Iseyin, Oyo State.

According to a press release by Public Relations Officer, Samuel Opebiyi, it noted that the NSCDC Agro-Rangers responded to a distress call on Tuesday, May 5, 2026; engaged the suspects in a gun duel, resulting in one suspect being brought down and two others arrested.

The operation was carried out in collaboration with other security agencies, and the suspects were found with a cartridge gun, cutlasses, and charms on Wednesday.

The two arrested suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation.

The State Commandant, Commandant Augustine Padonu, commended the Agro-Rangers for their bravery and professionalism, urging the residents to continue to support security agencies with information to maintain peace and order in the state
