She recalled that in 2025, Borno, Niger and some other parts of the northern states of the country witnessed saddening flooding with heavy losses in human lives and property.

The APC chieftain, who commended the National Emergency Management Agency through the federal government for continuing to raise awareness about predicted flooding in some communities in Oyo State, including Egbeda Local Government Area, urged the state and local government leadership to commence dredging of rivers for hitch-free water flow.
Hon. Olawoyin called on residents to desist from indiscriminate refuse dumping and poor layout, calling for enforcement of environmental and sanitation laws.

She also called on religious and traditional leaders to consistently orientate residents towards environmental safety and protection, while government should maintain emergency toll-free mechanisms for prompt rescue of possible flood victims.
Meanwhile, Hon. Olawoyin pledged inclusive representation for all constituents regardless of political party affiliation if elected in 2027.
