A lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Comforter Olajide, has declared readiness to bringing democratic development closer to her constituents.
She made this known while commissioning multiple projects and empowering constituents with vocational training start-up grants and kits in Ibadan, on Saturday.
The projects commissioned included a newly built Amotekun Office, renovated Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) shops, and constructed boreholes with generators to serve as alternative power sources.
“I see myself fulfilling destiny by bringing development closer to my people in my own way,” she said.
She assured her constituents of continued service and greater impact if given the opportunity for a second term.
Olajide attributed her passion for service to her faith and the inspiration she drawn from the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, noting that her efforts align with the administration’s people-oriented development agenda.
Earlier, the Chairman, Oyo State People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, and  Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Olufunke, commended Olajide for her grassroots development initiatives, describing the projects as part of the dividends of democracy being delivered under Governor Makinde’s administration, urging the constituents to co-operate and use the benefitted projects well.
Other features included
presentation of financial support to shop owners affected by a recent fire, distributed food items and gas stoves, and empowered over 200 young entrepreneurs, payment of 2026 NECO & JAMB Forms to over 50 Students of Mount Olivet High School, Ashi- Bodija,  among others.
