The historic town of Ikirun is set to come alive on Saturday, May 9th, as Alumni of Akinorun Grammar School gather to celebrate their Alma Mater’s Founders’ Day.
The event which will be chaired by Prof. Tunde Farombi, deputy vice chancellor, Chrisland University, Abeokuta and President of Akinorun Grammar School Old Students’ Association,
promises to be a grand reunion, as it will gather alumni from around the world for attendance.
The Anniversary Lecture, themed “Relationship Management: The benefits of Old Students Association”, will be delivered a renowned media expert and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Rave 91.7 FM, Dr. Femi Adefila.
Other lectures will be delivered by Pastor Dr. Olatunde Oladokun, JP, a prominent figure in SEAP Holdings Nigeria Limited.
The celebrations will commence on Friday, May 8th, with a “Keep-fit Walk to Live” at 7am, while the main event will take place on Saturday 9th May, 2026 by 9am Prompt.
Speaking, Public Relations officer of the Old Students Association and renowned broadcast journalist, Fatai Adiyeloja said the event will raise awareness about health, public management and better democratic Nigerian society, assuring of due security of attendees.
