A leading APC aspirant for Oyo State House of Assembly, Egbeda State Constituency, Hon. Temitope Olawoyin has picked expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 Primary And General Elections.

The aspiring lawmaker displayed the forms along key party faithful at the APC State Secretariat, Oke Ado, Ibadan on Monday.

Speaking, Hon. Olawoyin described the achievement as a testament of an ultmost readiness to serve the Egbeda State Constituency for public service, grassroots development and promised inclusive representation of Renewed Hope ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The public administration professional noted that consensus candidacy will not enable transparency, accountability and honest delivery in a democratic society, demanding level playing field for all the aspirants.

She recalled the continued promise  the local government party leaders’ vow on giving level playing field to all aspirants, nullifying earlier emerging consensus candidate despite available fourteen aspirants. She expressed her readiness for a clean, clear, and undaunting direct primary well supported by the 2026 Electoral Act as amended.

The gender equality advocate added that Egbeda State Constituency will only move forward where aspirants deliver on their core mandate backed by majority of the people, describing it nucleus of democracy.

“We are one, and continued oneness is determined by all inclusivity. Egbeda should be governed by a conscientious leader, not by money scent.”

“The 2026 Electoral Act as amended nullifies consensus where aspirants are ready for a direct primary. We should be far from imposition, conscience purchase by money or undue influence, fear or intimidation. APC is for all, not for few”, she said.

The aspiring lawmaker commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all leaders in Egbeda State Constituency for fostering a democratic environment that will provide due level playing field for all available aspirants in the forthcoming primary and 2027 General Elections.

Olawoyin lauded her husband, family, the youths, men, women, elders, persons with disability, support groups, especially the Avant Garde for reposing in her confidence and trust to lead the State Constituency, describing it a driving force of her fruitful political aspiration.

The Unibadan and Covenant University Alumnus urged supporters and party faithful to rally behind and pray for her emerging candidacy which will enable her all year vowed inclusive representation and historic empowerment for youths, women, elderly and party members turn positive.

In a cross section remarks of APC jubilants, Hon. Temitope Olawoyin was described the choicest of Egbeda State Constituency who must not be boxed to a corner by any means, calling leaders to give level playing field for representative choosing.

Meanwhile, Hon. Saheed Alli, a local Special Assistant to Oyo Central Senator, a Ward 7 Leader, Hon. Biodun Lawal and Hon. Sunmbo Akande, Treasurer of APC Avant Garde on behalf of the Group’s Apex leadership commended the courage of the aspiring lawmaker, urging leaders and party faithful to be wary of money politics against future bad representation which may hinder good leadership for every constituent.
