The Federal Training Centre for Teachers of Health Sciences, University College Hospital, Ibadan, has held a joint matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students of the Primary Health Care Tutors’ Course and Environmental Health Officers Tutors’ Course for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Prof. Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Olanrewaju Osho, urged the students to be intentional, disciplined, and focused in their studies.
Prof. Osho emphasized that the postgraduate programme was a result of careful planning and rigorous academic alignment, and encouraged the students to take advantage of the academic resources and experienced faculty available to them.
In his remarks, The Chief Medical Director, Universityย College Hospital, Ibadan, Prof. Jesse Otegbayo, noted that the students were being prepared to become trainers of trainers, mentors of future health professionals, and custodians of quality health education at the grassroots level.

He advised the students to demonstrate discipline, academic dedication, professionalism, and integrity throughout their training, and to remain focused on the broader purpose of the training, which is service to humanity through quality health education.
