The Director-General of the Akin Alabi Campaign Organization and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Adebowale Amoo (J.P), has congratulated the newly inaugurated APC State Executive Committee.

The new executive emerged through a harmonious consensus arrangement at Liberty Stadium, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, on Tuesday, 24th, February 2026, a development widely regarded as a demonstration of unity and maturity within the party.

Hon. Amoo described the emergence of the new leadership as a significant milestone for the APC in Oyo State, noting that the peaceful and consensus-driven process reflects the party’s commitment to cohesion, internal democracy, and collective progress.
According to him, the constitution of the Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo-led APC State Executive Committee clearly demonstrates the growing spirit of unity, mutual respect, and cooperation among party leaders and stakeholders across the state.

He noted that the historic consensus arrangement, which produced the executive without rancour or internal disputes, sends a strong message to opposition parties about the renewed strength and organizational discipline within the APC.

“Without a doubt, the emergence of the Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo-led State Executive Committee is a testament to the growing unity and collective commitment to progress within the All Progressives Congress. The process that produced this executive was credible, fair, inclusive and devoid of rancour,” he said.

Hon. Amoo further expressed optimism that the new leadership would consolidate the party’s structures across wards and local governments while strengthening its readiness for future electoral contests.

He therefore urged party members and leaders at all levels to rally behind the new executive in order to sustain the existing unity within the party and position the APC for a convincing victory in the 2027 general elections across Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.

Speaking on the possible third-term bid of Rt Hon. Akin Alabi, the Chairman, House Committee Works, Hon. Amoo maintained that the lawmaker’s impactful representation and numerous developmental interventions in the constituency provide sufficient justification for continued support.

He highlighted several infrastructural developments facilitated through the efforts of the lawmaker- the reconstruction of the Adegbayi–Ife–Ilesa Expressway, the completion of the Iwo Road–Ojo Expressway, and the construction of several inner roads within the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency such as Hope–Idi Obi Road, Salawu Road, and roads within the Olaogun axis, among others.

According to him, these projects have significantly improved transportation, boosted economic activities, and enhanced the overall quality of life for residents in the affected communities.

Hon. Amoo also commended the lawmaker’s numerous social intervention programmes aimed at empowering constituents, particularly youths, women, and the elderly.

He cited initiatives such as the medical outreach that provided eye treatment and surgical procedures to over 5,000 beneficiaries, ICT and video editing training programmes for young people and women, the launch of a ₦500 million micro-economic empowerment scheme, annual sponsorship of JAMB and NECO registration for students, the installation of thousands of solar-powered street lights across communities, and various empowerment programmes for community leaders and party members.

He described Hon. Akin Alabi as a committed grassroots politician, a loyal party man, and a responsive leader who remains accessible to the people and appreciative of the contributions of party members.

“Akin Alabi has demonstrated uncommon humility, accessibility and dedication to grassroots development. He is a leader who values loyalty, recognizes the sacrifices of party members, and consistently rewards commitment through various empowerment initiatives,” he said.

Hon. Amoo therefore called on stakeholders and residents of the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency to maintain unity of purpose and continue to support the lawmaker in order to sustain the developmental strides currently being witnessed across the constituency.

He emphasized that continuity in representation would help consolidate the ongoing projects and attract even more opportunities for the people.

“Division will only slow down our collective progress. What we need at this moment is unity and a shared commitment to sustain the development already underway. Rt. Hon. Akin Alabi has demonstrated capacity and dedication, and he deserves the continued support of the people,” he added.
