Oyo Police Rescue Abducted Teenager, Launch Manhunt For Fleeing Suspects

The Oyo State Police Command has successfully rescued a 17-year-old male, Daneri Alhaji Yaro, who was abducted in the early hours of August 5, 2026, at Aladere Village, near the Government Reserve Forest.

A joint team of police operatives, Amotekun Corps, local vigilantes, and hunters conducted a coordinated search-and-rescue mission, forcing the kidnappers to abandon the victim and flee into the forest.

The victim was rescued unhurt and reunited with his family. The police have launched an intelligence-led manhunt for the suspects.

CP Abimbola Olugbenga commended the bravery and synergy of the security teams and reassured residents of the command’s resolve to fight violent crime.
