The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has called on all stakeholders in Ibadanland to attend the official flag-off ceremony for the concrete dualisation of the Ibadan–Ijebu Ode Road scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday, the monarch urged members of the Olubadan-in-Council, Ibadan Royal Highnesses, Mogajis, Baales, and the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, to turn out in large numbers for the event.
The Federal Government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is set to flag off the landmark project.
Oba Ladoja described the road project as a significant infrastructural development that would enhance connectivity, promote economic activities and ease transportation for residents and motorists.

He expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and the Federal Government for prioritizing the strategic road, noting that the concrete dualisation would bring lasting benefits to Ibadanland and neighbouring communities.
The Olubadan also commended the Minister of Works, Senator (Engr.) David Umahi, for his commitment to critical road infrastructure projects nationwide.
According to him, the Ibadan–Ijebu Ode Road remains a major economic and transportation corridor linking Oyo State to other parts of the South-West, making its dualization crucial for regional development.
The monarch assured that Ibadanland would continue to support developmental initiatives aimed at improving lives and accelerating economic growth.
