The Assistant Comptroller-General, Excise, Free Trade Zone and Industrial Incentives, Eghosa Edelduok, has called excise traders and key stakeholders to sustain compliance with excise regulations to meet revenue targets.

This formed basis of discussion at a stakeholder’s Meeting held at the Oyo/Osun Customs Area Command in Ibadan.

In a statement made available by Public Relations Officer of the Area Command, Abdulmalik Akintola on Thursday Edelduok commended the critical role of excise factories in driving revenue generation for the Service, saying, “We commend stakeholders for their compliance with excise regulations”

The Comptroller urged the stakeholders to sustain their support and co-operation to enable the Command surpass its revenue targets.

Edelduok lauded the Oyo/Osun Area Command for contributing significantly to the overall revenue collection, saying it has accounted for about one-third of the total revenue collected in the country.

Earlier, the Deputy Comptroller and Acting Customs Area Controller, Oyo/Osun Area Command, Wale Adewole appreciated the Comptroller-General of Customs, Comptroller General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, for constituting a committee under Edelduok’s leadership to engage stakeholders and encourage compliance with excise regulations.

The engagement which concluded with an interactive session, enabled clarifications on key issues and challenges affecting the area Command’s operations, with renewed collaboration and support.

Recall, the Oyo/Osun Area Customs Command recorded a 14.5billion revenue generation within the first quarters of 2026.
