The Acting Commander, Nigerian Army Education Corps, NAEC, Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has paid a working visit to the Nigerian Army Institute of Science Education and Technology, NAISET, and the Nigerian Army College of Education, NACOE, at Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin, Kwara State.

During the visit on Thursday, 3 September 2026, Brigadier General Ahmed commended the Commandant of NAISET and the Provost of NACOE for the level of academic activities in both institutions.

He noted that they have created a conducive environment for learning.

He reaffirmed NAEC’s commitment to providing all necessary support to sustain excellence and produce well-rounded personnel for the Nigerian Army.

As part of the visit, the Acting Corps Commander inspected 79 recruits preparing for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, for private candidates, 2026 Second Series.

He urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and diligent, stressing that education is a critical pillar for professionalism and career advancement in the Nigerian Army.

Earlier, the Acting Commandant of NAISET, Colonel Abbas Ahmad Abubakar, appreciated the Corps Commander for his unwavering support towards the development of facilities and well-coordinated activities in the institute. He assured that NAISET remains committed to producing technically competent personnel for the Nigerian Army.

In the same vein, the Acting Provost of NACOE, Colonel Prince Godswill Agbai, applauded the Commander for his consistent support to the college.

He noted that the Acting Corps Commander’s leadership has continued to inspire growth and innovation in teachers’ training within the Nigerian Army and expressed optimism for more collaboration to enhance the capacity of the institutions.

Also, the Acting Rector of the Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology, NACEST, Makurdi, Colonel Olalekan Bamiteko, commended the Acting Corps Commander for his proactive leadership and sustained efforts in upgrading college facilities.

He said the interventions have significantly enhanced effective administration and improved the overall learning environment for personnel and students.

The visit was aimed at assessing the academic and infrastructural development of the institutions and boosting the morale of personnel and students describing it as successful and hitch-free.
