Mid 2nd Term: Catch Them Young Initiative coordinators laud Makinde’s free common entrance examination registration, enjoin pupils to remain focused

The Co-ordinators of Catch Them Young Initiative have lauded the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde for funding free common entrance examination registration for pupils across the State, describing it a sort of relief for all the parents and guardians.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, Chief Co-ordinator of the Initiative and Bright Lens Media Network, Mrs. Ayodeni Aluko lauded the Seyi Makinde led administration for prioritizing education, being the pillar of any successful society in the world.

She noted that the education quality in Oyo State has continued to improve yearly, saying this has helped to make out of school population reduce from time past.

She lauded the present administration for changing the face of infrastructure in primary schools, employment of nearly 18,000 teachers in the last 7 years in the state, and introduction of e-learning methods, free education among others, saying the efforts have helped to stimulate pupils’ readiness to appreciate formal education.

Stating the essence of free education in Oyo State, Mrs. Aluko urged pupils and students to face their studies for quality and independent future as Finnish (Citizens of Finland).

Meanwhile, the Initiative Co-ordinator appreciated the Management of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board led by Dr. Nureni Adeniran for an intensive supervision of all primary schools across the state, saying the effort has further brought seamlessness, dedication and commitment among the teachers in the government primary schools.

The media and an education advocate called parents and guardians to support the teachers and government in Oyo State for an intensive education provision and quality result yielding, while pupils and students should shun laziness, and other social vices for better future.
