The chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, has directed the newly sworn-in chairmen of the Party in all the 33 local government areas to proceed with the inauguration of other elected officials who are expected to work with them and ensure that they all swing into action immediately.

The leadership of the party sworn-in 30 out of the 33 party chairmen on Friday while the remaining three have been cleared for their turn of the Inauguration any time from now. They are; Ilyasu Yinusa (Atisbo), Wale Oyewo (Afijio) and Sulaimon Ayoola (Oorelope).

In a statement issued at the weekend and made available to journalists in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, the party ordered that its chairmen at the local government area level should also carry out the inauguration of the APC Executive Committee members at the Ward level without further delay.

“The new executive committees at all levels have enormous tasks before them and now is the best time for them to set forth. We have a lot to do in the areas of sustenance of unity, integration of new members, welfare of members, engagement, sensitization and mobilization of voters among others. Without mincing words, the new Exco members will be at the forefront to actualize these daunting tasks and we shall not disappoint as individuals and as a team.”

“While we are not unmindful of disagreement in a few local government areas, we want to assure that all genuine complaints will be addressed by a Peace Committee which is due for inauguration on Monday.”

“Despite the fact that we have achieved so much on our various reconciliation efforts, we shall continue to listen to individual members of the Party who have genuine cases against one another as fellow Party faithful.”, the statement concluded.
