Eid-El-Kabir 2026: Allah Loves Us, We Must Reciprocate with Love – Egbeda APC Chairman, Olaleye

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Olawale Olaleye, has urged Nigerians, especially Muslims, to demonstrate genuine love and integrity in their daily lives for a peaceful and united society.

In his 2026 Sallah message on Wednesday, Olaleye said Eid-El-Kabir commemorates Allah’s mercy toward mankind, when He replaced Prophet Ibrahim’s intended sacrifice with a ram.

“The celebration reminds us that Allah’s love for humanity is unconditional. It is our duty to reflect that love in our dealings with one another,” he said.

The APC chieftain noted that humans are blessed above all other creatures, and such privilege comes with responsibility, saying true love and honesty should guide how citizens relate to one another and to the nation.

Olaleye condemned the rising tide of corruption, fraud, kidnapping, and other social vices in Oyo State and across Nigeria.

He argued that many of these problems would decline if Nigerians embrace the values of sacrifice and mutual respect embodied in Eid-El-Kabir.

“If we truly love one another as Allah commands, we will not engage in acts that destroy our society. A nation built on love and justice cannot be broken,” he stated.

He called on governments at all levels to rebuild and strengthen the security architecture to guarantee peaceful co-existence.

Meanwhile, he urged Governor Seyi Makinde to expedite action towards the rescue of over 40 abducted pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

“Nigeria can return to its former glory if we return to the values of love, honesty, and accountability that Eid-El-Kabir represents,” Olaleye added.
