The Egbeda Local Government Area chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured aspirants of a level playing field in the forthcoming General Elections.
This assurance was given at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Local Government Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan, on Tuesday.
Speaking, the APC Chairman, Comrade Olawale Olaleye, commended party leaders and members for their commitment, saying it has contributed to the party’s relevance.

“We will give a level playing field to all our aspirants,” he said, citing Pastor Akin Oke’s declaration of intent being the 13th aspirants for Egbeda State Constituency Seat in 2027, is a sign of democratic growth.
In his speech, Akin Oke, a retired teacher and politician, and a holder of Masters Degree from the University of Ibadan in Economics, Akin Oke who aspires for a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Egbeda State Constituency appealed to the party to consider his experience and people-centred plans, saying, “I’m prepared to deliver due people-centred democratic plans and policies.”

In their various contributions, representative from Ward 1 praised Hon. Akin Alabi as a performing lawmaker and urged Akin Oke to prioritize giving back dividends of democracy if chosen as the candidate.
The APC Egbeda Local Government Women Leader, Aderonke Adedeji, and party faithful, Mrs. Adeleke, called for co-operation among members and encouraged the aspirant to leverage his experience.
Meanwhile, Baba Suara Legbeda, overall leader in Egbeda Local Government, commended APC State Chairman, Dr. Moses Alake Adeyemo’s intervention in resolving contentions over the local government executive list, saying he has been saddled with the responsibility of brokering a developmental peace.
The stakeholder’s meeting gathered Director General Akin Alabi Campaign Organization, Debo Amoo, others leaders including Hon. Adeboje Murewa, local executives, wards chairmen, wards women leaders, wards youth leaders, wards secretaries, wards leaders, and paramount leaders.
