The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Comrade Olawale Olaleye has called the media and support group in the party, formally known as Avant Garde to maintain its golden expansion scope.

The disclosure came during the Avant Garde’s courtesy call on the newly inaugurated local government executive at the Iwo Road Party Secretariat, Ibadan, on Saturday.

The professional accountant cum politician described the group as a golden fish, saying the beauty is always coveting.

Comrade Olaleye noted that the activity of the group has widely been recognized across the country, with lots of commendations.

He added that the group was instrumental to his re-emergence as second term chairman of the party, adding that the party has succeeded in producing future leaders.

The APC boss noted that his new administration will formally recognize the Avant Garde’s contributions for its due dividends.

” You have greatly worked for the entire party. The message of unity, love and progress have been well communicated through you. We will never take you for granted. ”

While describing the group as a household name, Olaleye urged the members and executives to remain resolute, committed, dedicated and focused.

He warned the group against indiscipline, and disunity, saying the reckoning must be well guided.

” Avant Garde is a light and must not be put under a bushel. Remain yourself. Be disciplined. Be resolute and focused, your due dividends will henceforth come to you as at when due”, he said.

However, the APC chairman vowed to actively involve and inform the group about the official schedules of the party for fuller representation.

Meanwhile, a special assistant to Senator Yunus Akintunde, Hon. Saheed Alleh expressed his delight in the group, pledging to acquaint the group with the Oyo Senator, Dr. Yunus Akintunde for official recognition.

Hon. Alleh warned the group from being sentimental in its working for all aspirants before party primaries, urging the group to embrace open- endedness.

” We have heard so much about your delivery across the Oyo Central Senatorial District. You are a pride to us. We promise to make you a formal structure in the party, and get your regular democratic dividends.”

“However, work, open to all aspirants before primaries, and as soon as candidates emerge, be more rigorous to push out their good programmes and policies. APC has come to liberate Egbeda, Oyo State and Nigeria totally from poverty to full-lighted prosperity”, he noted.

Earlier, the Avant Garde Group’s chairman, Tayo Olatunji, through the substantive secretary, Oluwafemi Ogundiran, appreciated the Party in general for equipping its youths for future leadership, pledging unalloyed support and vote of confidence in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Lawmaker, Hon. Akin Alabi, Oyo Central Senator, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, Olawale Olaleye led APC Egbeda Executive and all leaders beyond 2027 for a widely recognized democratic leadership.

The meeting had in attendance all approved executive of Avant Garde across the eleven wards of Egbeda Local Government.
