Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, has been appointed Deputy Director for Ogun Central Senatorial District in the 74-member Campaign Council constituted for the 2027 governorship campaign of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi).

The appointment is widely seen as a recognition of Hon. Amosun’s growing influence, grassroots mobilisation capacity and unwavering commitment to the emergence of Senator Yayi as the next Governor of Ogun State. His elevation to the strategic campaign council further underscores the confidence reposed in his ability to galvanise support, strengthen grassroots structures and coordinate stakeholders towards the success of the Yayi governorship project.

Hon. Amosun has remained actively involved in the mobilisation and organisation of political structures across Ogun State. In recent months, he has led and participated in several strategic engagements, including the mobilisation of coordinators and grassroots supporters across Abeokuta South and other parts of Ogun Central.

His efforts have consistently centred on building a strong and coordinated support base for Senator Yayi, while deepening engagement with party members, community leaders, youths and other stakeholders.

His appointment also comes against the backdrop of his reputation as a grassroots-oriented politician and organiser whose political activities are driven by direct engagement with the people.

Through his leadership, empowerment initiatives, educational interventions, support for vulnerable and aged members of his political family, and sustained grassroots meetings, Amosun has continued to demonstrate that political mobilisation goes beyond rallies, it requires structure, commitment and consistent presence among the people.

With the 2027 political season gathering momentum, the appointment of Hon. Amosun to the Ogun Central campaign leadership is expected to further strengthen the coordination and mobilisation machinery of the Yayi campaign in the Senatorial District, as the team works towards securing broad-based support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) as Governor of Ogun State in 2027.
