The 5-Man Reconciliation and Peace Committee of the All Progressives Congress in Egbeda Local Government has met with aggrieved aspirants following the fallout from a party primary that produced a consensus candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The committee is headed by Baba Sule Suara Elegbeda , the overall leader of APC in Egbeda local government . Other members include the APC party Chairman, Com Olawale Olaleye; Renewed Hope Ambassador, Hon. Biliaminu Ogundele; Director General of the Akin Alabi Campaign Organization, Hon. Debo Amoo; and Hon. Murewa Adeboje.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Suara appealed to the aggrieved aspirants to remain committed to the party, saying the party had agreed to compensate them in due time.

“No gainsaying, you have served the party with loyalty over the years. None of you will be left out in the scheme of things when the dividends of the party ripen,” he said.
“We understand that the two of you were fortunate to be screened by the party at the state level, with your records also at the national secretariat. Your contributions will not go unnoticed.”
The respected APC chieftain noted that the consensus candidacy was a decision of the party leaders, aimed at ensuring transparency and testing loyalty.

He commended the long-standing contributions of Hon. Temitope Olawoyin and Hon. Jide Falade, adding that their loyalty had only been tested and not undermined.
Baba Sule Suara also cautioned the consensus candidate, Hon. Yemi Bernard Olurinde, against sidelining the other aspirants. He called for collaboration, consultation, consolidation and unity among all members to secure a historic victory for the party in the forthcoming general elections.

In their separate responses, Hon. Temitope Olawoyin and Hon. Jide Falade appreciated the reconciliation panel for its timely intervention. They urged the party to fulfil its promise of compensating loyal members in the near future, while pledging total support for Hon. Yemi Bernard Olurinde.
“Your win is our win. We are ready to support Hon. Yemi Bernard Olurinde and other candidates contesting on the platform of our great party. However, the party and leaders should not waiver on the agreement regarding loyalty compensation in the near future. We are adequately qualified for the contest, but the interest of the party remains supreme,” they said.

Earlier, Renewed Hope Ambassador, Hon. Biliaminu Ogundele, and Party Chairman, Comrade Olawale Olaleye, cautioned against anything that could undermine the strength of the party. They urged members to remain dedicated, resolute, and united beyond the 2027 General Elections.
Also speaking, Hon. Debo Amoo, Hon. Murewa Adeboje, and Baba Okeowo emphasized the need for continued peace-building among party members.
Meanwhile, the 2027 Egbeda OYHA Consensus Candidate, Hon. Yemi Bernard Olurinde, appreciated his co-aspirants for their support and assured them of inclusive representation.
