Com. Osifo remains voice of Nigerian workers- Oyo TUC Chairman, Olabiyi-Agoro

The Chairman of the Trade Union Congress and PENGASSAN, Oyo State Council, Comrade Bosun Olabiyi- Agoro has described National President of the Union, Comrade Festus Osifo as a rare voice of the Nigerian workers.

In a birthday message personally signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday, Comrade Olabiyi-Agoro noted that the unwavering commitment and focus of the unionist in celebration, have enabled the rights of the workers undeniable.

He commended the vigour in unionism of Comrade Festus Osifo in fighting for the rights and reinstatement of over 800 recently sacked Dangote Workers, noting that the achievement is worth celebrating by the nation’s workforce.

Olabiyi-Agoro called the workers to continue to support the leadership of its National President for more economic rights’ breakthroughs.

” Having Comrade Festus Osifo as a national leader is a thing of joy, optimism and proof that workers can lead the country aright. We need to maintain our tent pitch with him for more economic rights’ breakthroughs. “, he said.

While praying for good health, continued wealth and positive growing influence of the unionist in celebration, Olabiyi-Agoro urged him to strengthen his commitment to leading the workforce to a peaceful and gainful destination, calling Nigerians to remain resolute about co-operating and reigniting belief in the nation’s workers leadership for shared socio-economic balance.

Meanwhile, Oyo TUC Chairman called government at all levels to as a matter of urgency cushion the effect of fuel hike ocassioned by Iran-US-Israel Conflict on Nigerians, urging fuller temporary suspension of tax payment for workers while crude is subsidized for modular refiners for nationwide economic relief.
