Be more active politically- APC Leader, Busari tells Avant Garde

The All Progressives Congress Chairman of Ward 7 in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Suraju Busari has called Avant Garde support Group of the Party to remain politically active.

The Ward leader said this at a critical Avant Garde Stakeholders meeting held at the Egbeda APC Secretariat in Ibadan on Sunday.

He emphasized the importance of the support group since her formation, saying her effort has greatly positioned the local government to the eye of the State and National Leaders.

He expressed his delight as the support group remains dedicated, committed and focused with usual accolade from members of the party.

” I am the happiest on earth. The formation of Avant Garde, being the brainchild of all the leaders, and even myself about the need to give the youth a voice, a sort of inclusivity, and now a reality. Yes, This has come to stay. Your group is a pride to us in Egbeda and Oyo State, especially as through you, activities and achievements of our serving leaders from Egbeda and across the country become known. No disappointment whatsoever. “, he said.

The Political Scientist and educationist appreciated the total order and peace in the All Progressives Congress, saying the peace and order have silenced the opposition People’s Democratic Party both in Oyo State and Nigeria to defection.

” Achievement of peace and order in our great party are an onion of silence and resignation to defection of members of PDP into our great party and other growing political parties.”

Charging the Avant Garde group to remain at the eye of her mandate, Hon. Busari called each member to remain politically active at their respective wards, and units within the Egbeda Local Government for due democratic future leadership and rewards.

” You know I am a core politician. My activeness has pitched me as a leader in Ward 7. Not only that through this, I have been able to see eye- on-eye with many of our state leaders, including Oyo State Renewed Hope Ambassador and former three-term senator, Teslim Folarin. ”

He added that credible performance of the group must be more felt than before as the ward/local government congresses and 2027 General Elections draw closer, assuring of continued support of the leaders of the party in Egbeda, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

“We have seen it that the country, Nigeria is on the verge of turning a place of peace, progress and prosperity, this which the administration President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is sacrificingly enshrining. However, only active members, non-controversial support groups and the entire patriotic people of Nigeria will benefit from the policies, plans and programmes on execution. “, he noted.

Earlier, the Chairman of Avant Garde, Tayo Olatunji, who was represented by Public Relations Officer of the group, Kabiru Isiaka, commended the leaders of the party, especially the visiting leader, saying such a visit will serve an encouragement and political experience gathering for the group’s members for future dealings.

He urged the leaders to give formal activities of engagement to members across the units, wards and local government levels for an intensive all-inclusivity.

The meeting was attended by Executives of the support group including Youth Leader, Emmanuel Akintoye, Liasion officer, Sulaimon Lawal, Hon. Rasaq Akinrinade, Comrade Sumbo Akande, Welfare I, Mrs. Oyewole Isiaka, among others.
