An aspirant for Egbeda State Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in 2027 General Elections, Hon. Temitope Olawoyin has cautioned constituents against blocking waterways, saying this could lead to flooding and loss of lives and property.
In a new month message made available on Wednesday, Hon. Olawoyin commended the resilience, commitment and focus of the constituents as they await the All Progressives Congress Party primary process.
She explained the month of April as one that marks the heart of spring, symbolizing renewal and “opening” (derived from the Latin aperire) with blooming flowers, warmer weather.
“This month signals the arrival of spring, combined with all the events, celebrations, and awareness campaigns, encourages people to focus on personal growth, family connection, and community involvement, so also for global health, environmental awareness, and cultural celebrations. ”
The aspirant stated the significance of preparing free waterways as heavy rains predicted in 2026, saying this will help to reduce impacts of flooding, where it occurs.
Hon. Olawoyin urged the constituents to remain alert, and follow the early warnings released by meteorologists and environment stakeholders in the country.
” While we pray for abundance, let us make our environment free from floods and other climate impacts, by providing necessary waterways, imbibe environmental alertness to reduce environment damages”,she said.
Meanwhile, Hon. Olawoyin called the constituents, party members, and political leaders to support her political ambitions for a total turnaround democratically in 2027 for their various categories.
