The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Waheel Shuabu, has emphasized the need for Nigerian Army personnel to remain resilient in their line of duty to achieve advanced creativity.
Speaking at a seminar themed “Lessons Learned: Forging Operational Resilience from Experience to Excellence” in Nigerian Army Division 2, Ojoo, Ibadan on Tuesday, Shuabu highlighted the importance of addressing emerging social menaces, including insecurity, drug abuse, to improve the Army’s operationality.
Represented by Major General Chineidu Nnebeife, Shuabu stressed that the seminar would enable young officers to enhance their creativity and adaptability.
โThis seminar was put together to acquaint our officers and soldiers on how lessons from field experiences can strengthen adaptability, improve decision-making and enhance our overall operational effectiveness,โ he said.
โBy the end of this seminar, participants are expected to deepen their mastery of methodologies for deriving actionable lessons from operational engagements,โ he added.
Earlier, Major General Olusegun Abai, Chief of Army Staff, Transformation and Innovation, noted that the seminar aimed to advance the Army’s operational resilience in a multi-agencies society and promote critical reflection.
โBy fostering mental resilience and operational awareness, we aim to build a force that is not only battle-ready but also emotionally and ethically grounded,โ Abai stated.
The seminar brought together young and experienced Army personnel, members of the NDLEA, and serving corps members, among others.
