The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, has cautioned newly inaugurated local government executives against factionalisation and division within the party.
Adeyemo gave the warning during the swearing-in ceremony of 30 of 33 local government chairmen at the state Secretariat, Oke Ado, Ibadan, on Friday.

He emphasized the importance of loyalty, unity, and fairness, saying chairmanship aspirants should wait for their turn while the party rewards them if elected to power in the 2027 general elections.

“We have reached a critical stage in our journey to the 2027 general elections,” Adeyemo said. “As LG Party Chairmen, you must be loyal to the leadership of the Party and President Bola Tinubu.”
He added that the party’s recent success at the Ward, LGA, and State Congresses was a testament to the APC’s growth in Oyo State.
Adeyemo warned that any party leader or member found guilty of factionalisation or division would face sanctions, saying unity was key to the party’s victory in 2027.

In his reaction, Chairman of Oyo Central Senatorial District, Dr. Joshua Oyebamiji, said the party was ready to reclaim its lost mandate, urging members to remain committed.

The reappointed chairman of Egbeda APC, Comrade Olawale Olaleye, described his return as historic, calling for continued support for the party.
A Local Government Renewed Hope Ambassador, Hon. Biliaminu Ogundele, appreciated the support of party members, urging them to stay focused on reclaiming the Agodi Government House in 2027.

Earlier, the APC State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Wasiu Sadare directed local chairmen to liaise with senatorial district co-ordinators and submit monthly reports, warning that failure to do so would attract sanctions.
