The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State has inaugurated its 85-man Ad-hoc Campaign Committee Council (AC3).
The inauguration ceremony took place at the party’s Local Government Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan, on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the party, Comrade Olawale Olaleye, commended leaders of the party, including the eldest and highly respected politician in the local government, Chief Sule Suara Elegbeda, for repositioning the party on the path to victory in the forthcoming general elections.
He noted that the constitution of the Ad-hoc Campaign Council is in line with the provisions of Section 18 of the 2022 Party Constitution as amended, which empowers the state, local and ward executives to set up ad-hoc committees to strengthen political mobilisation.
Olaleye recalled that the ad-hoc committee was announced on October 12 for general perusal and has received little or no objection so far.
The professional accountant turned politician charged the newly inaugurated members to remain loving, united and progressive in the quest to deliver victory for the party in 2027.

According to him, the committee, which comprises sub-committees such as General Purpose, Contact and Mobilisation, Planning, Research and Strategy, Public Enlightenment, Special Contact and Mobilisation, Security, Finance, and Media and Publicity, is made up of seasoned individuals of proven integrity, passion and experience from various fields.
The APC chairman urged the council to be rigorous in grassroots mobilisation and shun laziness, assuring that hard work would be rewarded when the party is fully in government in Oyo State and at the federal level.
“All our candidates are people of good character and passion. We should sell them to the electorate and mobilise voters for their victory for shared prosperity,” he said.
Earlier, the overall leader of the party in the local government, Baba Sule Suara Elegbeda, tasked the council to remain focused on its mandate, noting that its constitution was divine and geared towards a greater Egbeda beyond 2027.

Other leaders in attendance included Hon. Billy Ogundele, Hon. Murewa Adeboje, the Director-General of the Akin Alabi Campaign Council, Hon. Debo Amoo, among others.
