The APC Candidate for Oyo State House of Assembly, Egbeda State Constituency ahead of the 2027 General Elections, Hon. Bernard Olurinde, has commended the Avant Garde Support Group of the All Progressives Congress for its relentless support of the party.

He added that his election in 2027 will enable constituents to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

He stated this during a strategic meeting with the group on Sunday at the Local Party Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan.

The APC candidate described the group as exceptionally structured, adding that the party is blessed to have such a unique support group. He maintained that his candidacy, which was borne out of consensus, will re-strengthen unity, loyalty, and progress for the State Constituency.

Hon. Olurinde urged members of the party to leave the past behind and work for victory in the forthcoming general elections. While appreciating all aspirants in the Constituency, he vowed to remain open, engaging, and committed to empowering all categories of constituents, members, support groups, and leaders, with due project facilitation, if elected.

In his remarks, the Director-General of the Bernard Olurinde Campaign Team and Balogun of Adeleye, Oloye Segun Owoyemi, appreciated the civility of the group, adding that the team’s meeting with the group will be the first of many. He described the candidate as a man of integrity, ever-engaging, and poised to deliver as an Oyo Assembly member. He called on members of the party to join in mobilization and provide direction for due delivery in the 2027 General Elections.

In their separate remarks, the Avant Chairman, Tayo Olatunji; Public Relations Officer, Kabiru Isiaka; and appointed Vice-Chairman II of the group, Comrade Stephen Adelakun, while commending the candidate for trusting the group, urged him to fulfill his campaign promises to all visiting communities, groups, and the entire party for true democracy.

The group appointed a ten-man committee into Hon. Bernard Olurinde’s Campaign Council for inclusion and wide coverage:

Meanwhile, the appointees were mandated to continue to liaise with the LG Party Chairman, Comrade Olawale Olaleye; Avant Garde Chairman, Tayo Olatunji; Avant Garde Secretary, Samuel Oluwafemi; and Chief Media Officer for the group, Olawale Kunle, for further actions.

Earlier, the LG Party Chairman, Comrade Olawale Olaleye, and Ward 6 Chairman, who also doubles as Chairman of Chairmen in the party, Alfa Muniru Olalekan, commended the loyalty, dedication, and focus of the group, calling on them to commence neighborhood campaigns and mobilization for all the candidates of the party from top to bottom.

“The APC has sellable manifestoes and candidates. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Yunus Akintunde, Hon. Akin Alabi, and Hon. Yemi Bernard Olurinde, and others are credible candidates of the party. Mobilize votes for them to continue and commence due democratic values and delivery for all of us across Nigeria, Egbeda, and Oyo State at large,” they echoed.

The meeting had in attendance delegates and backroom staff of Hon. Bernard Olurinde including Hon. Alabi, Hon. Kolawole, Salako Olukunle (Mighty), Former Ward 9 Women Leader and LG Exco member, Hon. Victoria Siyanbola, Mrs. Taiwo Obideyi, Media Officer of YBO Campaign Council, Ridwan Adegbile, and Avant Garde Executives, new and returning, among others.
