The National Association of Oduduwa Students, NAOS, has commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for fulfilling key campaign promises and upholding the Omoluabi ethos of integrity and service.

In a statement signed by its National President, Comrade Olalere Benedict Adetunji, and released on Monday, NAOS described the Governor’s leadership style as rooted in accountability, transparency, and faithfulness to public commitments.

The association specifically hailed the recent delivery of a surveillance aircraft acquired by the Oyo State Government on July 28, 2026, saying it represents a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen security and enhance the safety of lives and property across the state.

According to NAOS, the development reflects the administration’s commitment to implementing publicly announced policies and projects.

“As an organization committed to promoting responsible leadership and the values of the Yoruba people, NAOS recognizes the importance of the Omoluabi philosophy, which emphasizes honesty, integrity, responsibility, and keeping one’s word,” the statement read.

NAOS noted that Governor Makinde’s approach to governance has continued to attract public attention for its emphasis on project delivery and continuity.

The association said the principles of accountability and faithfulness to promises are qualities worthy of encouragement in democratic governance.

NAOS therefore encouraged leaders at every level of government to embrace the enduring values of responsible leadership, stressing that public trust must remain the foundation of governance and sustainable development.

The student body congratulated Governor Makinde on the achievement and expressed hope that the administration will continue to pursue policies that promote security, development, and the overall well-being of the people of Oyo State and the Yoruba nation.
