Oyo Govt Releases Timetable For 2026 SS1 & SS2 Joint Promotion Exam, Sets August 3 For Commencement

The Oyo State Ministry of Education has released the timetable for the 2026 Senior Secondary School 1 and 2 Joint Promotion Examination.

The examination is scheduled to hold from Monday, August 3 to Thursday, August 13, 2026, across the state.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Segun Olayiwola, through the Registrar of Examinations in the Ministry, Mr. Johnson Awodeji, it was stated that the exercise would commence daily at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m.

The Ministry urged students to shun examination malpractices and to demonstrate good conduct throughout the period.

According to the timetable, the schedule is as follows:

Week 1
– Monday, August 3: English Language, Civic Education

– Tuesday, August 4: Physics (Theory) / Government, Agricultural Science (Theory) / Food & Nutrition / Clothing & Textiles / Home Management (Theory)

– Wednesday, August 5: Biology (Practical), Geology

– Thursday, August 6: Mathematics, Agricultural Science (Practical) / Food & Nutrition (Practical) / Clothing & Textiles (Practical) / Home Management (Practical)

– Friday, August 7: Physics (Practical) / History

Week 2
– Monday, August 10: Financial Accounting / Further Mathematics, Biology (Theory) / Arabic Language

– Tuesday, August 11: Chemistry (Theory) / CRS / Islamic Studies, Economics

– Wednesday, August 12: Trade Subjects, Literature-in-English

– Thursday, August 13: Chemistry (Practical) / Commerce, Yoruba Language

Meanwhile, the government called on school heads, supervisors, invigilators, and parents to cooperate to ensure a hitch-free and successful examination.
