The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has come out to defend Iseyin College of Health against unfounded claims and misleading narratives circulating about the institution.
In a statement signed by Sen. Comr Oyewumi Festus Ayomide, President of the Senate, NAPS, and Comrade Jimoh Ibrahim, Clerk of the Senate, NAPS, the association and made available to newsmen on Saturday, it described the claims as “mischievous”, and aimed at discrediting the college.
The statement read: “Let it be stated clearly and without ambiguity: Iseyin College of Health is not a scam. The institution is undergoing a standard regulatory and accreditation process as required by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).”
NAPS appealed to NBTE to expedite the accreditation process, saying “Institutions like Iseyin College of Health represent hope for many young Nigerians seeking quality education and a pathway into the healthcare profession.”
However, the association urged students, stakeholders, and the public to stay calm and ignore misinformation, saying, “We stand for truth, progress, and Iseyin College of Health.”
